About the Author.

About the Author.
Pamela Shelton Reynolds was born in Phoenix, Arizona during the 1960's. Because her mother had contracted German measles between the fourth and sixth weeks of this pregnancy, Pamela was born with microphthalmia (an eye part malformation), heart murmur, hearing loss and her intellect would be questionable. As a crowning touch, she had duck feet for which she would need leg braces and corrective shoes. The doctors told her parents the best thing they could do would be to put her in an institution. They adamantly refused. During Pamela's growing-up years she was labeled "one eyed freak" by her classmates, but she came to realize that this was a small trial compared to the multitude of failures, secrets and long-buried hurts caused by her dysfunctional family. Pamela has been married to her husband Trent for 35 years and they have been blessed with five wonderful children and six grandchildren. Her hobbies include writing, reading, yoga, gardening, and cooking for her family. She claims that her greatest treasures in life are her parents, husband, children and grandchildren. She also adores her many close friends.

A WHITE ROSE

The red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love;
Oh, the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.
But I send you a cream-white rose bud
With a flush on it's petal tips;
For the love that is purest and sweetest
Has a kiss of desire on the lips.
